How to automate a large scale educational system with Gentoo

A case study of how to use Gentoo Linux in a large scale educational system. The talk will include a short presentation of some of the challenges in a large scale educational system, why we chose a source based distribution and how we are handling these challenges using a mix of existing tools and a thin scripting layer build on top of Gentoo Linux.

MartinParm is 29 years old and has been using Linux personally since 2000 and professionally since 2002. Martin has been working in the IT dept. at DIKU since 2003.
