The act of distributing code is important in almost every open source license. When you distribute your modifications of code released under the GPL, you trigger the copyleft provision which demands that you release the code under the same license. This presentation seeks to explore what distribution really means in an open source licence context. When does distribution take place and what is its consequences? What are the bordercases?
