The time for Open Source Software is now! Almost everyday we see exciting news about organizations both in the public and private sector starting to use OSS. Organizations are beginning to see the advantages of OSS and it is not just for kernel hacking.
If we want OSS to be a viable alternative to "No-one-gets-fired-for-buying-IBM/Microsoft", we need to talk the language of CFOs/CTOs. Their language is the price (of the beer) and the flexibility of being able to work without license limitations.

Brian Jacobsen is currently CTO at Halibut and has been using LAMPerl/PHP since his first installation of RedHat Linux in 1998.
Today his time is devided between introducing organizations to OSS and developing web sites in Drupal.
